Welcome to the first and only equity-based payment app.

Pact was created out of the belief that people deserve tools to build healthy, thriving relationships.

For us, that meant designing an app that gives everyone the freedom and flexibility to split expenses based on the principles of equity, and makes it easy to customize from there because not every transaction is the same.

But the ways we currently split costs? They’re mostly the same. Too often, we default to “I got the gas, you get the groceries,” splitting 50/50 or playing some weird guessing game in between. And as most of us innately know, that’s a surefire way to build resentment over time.

The good news is communication works! So do equity-based methods. We’ll be sharing the research and insights that support this right in the app.

As paradoxical as it may sound, we don’t see Pact as a cost-splitting tool. Nope. We think of it as a way to foster conversations and strengthen our relationships. Because if we truly care about equity, we have to start here with the people we care about most. And it’s about time we had the tools to do just that.

To wrap it up, we’re now taking Pact from a scrappy MVP built as a progressive web app to a fully native iOS and Android experience. Expected completion: end of May 2025. 🤞
